seal Huddles
This black and white photograph captures a group of seals huddling together on a rocky beach. The seals are arranged in a tight line, each one leaning into the other to preserve body heat.
Their dark eyes glimmer in the light, and the contrast between the shadows and highlights in the photograph creates a striking scene. I could hear the waves crash against the shore, the seals’ only sound in this tranquil moment.
The individual seals seem to be in a state of contentment, as they huddle together in the cold. The photograph conveys a sense of community and resilience, as the animals band together to protect themselves the best way the know how. I feel the sense of remarkable bond between these creatures and the strength of their connection, even when faced with adversity. For me, an added bonus...It was astonishing that they all posed to look at the camera, this doesn't even always happen when I'm able to communcate with my models!
