Giraffe Greatness
The giraffe is the tallest land mammal in the world, and they can be found in many parts of Africa, including South Africa. These gentle giants are a popular tourist attraction, and there are many opportunities to see them in their natural habitat. Often, you can see Giraffe's miles away and have to drive to get close, other times, you can turn a corner and there they are right in the middle of the road!
One of the most striking things about giraffes is their long necks. Their necks can be up to 6 feet long, and they use them to reach leaves and branches that other animals cannot reach. Giraffes also use their necks to communicate with each other, by touching noses or rubbing necks.
